Leading a business can sometimes be a lonely place. When Louise Winter turned to ActionCOACH Jamie Goral for help in taking her childcare group to the next level, little did she know his coaching would have a profound effect on her too.

Louise spoke to Jamie about the difference working with him has made to her and her business, before and during a global pandemic.

“The reason I started working with you, Jamie, was because my company, which is a group of children’s nurseries, I felt I’d got as far as I could with the business and I needed help to focus so that I could grow and take the business forward.

So I came to you and you helped me greatly with focusing on the team I needed to do that, particularly the leadership team I needed to do that, and the tasks and the marketing of the nurseries – which resulted in a 33% growth before Covid.

You also greatly assisted me during the time of Covid because I had to do the key working care, which was quite a challenge. We had regular meetings which were very very helpful. You helped me with parent customer details, lots of challenges, and we’re now in a very good position to move forward.

You just helped me with me personally, really. When you’re running a business on your own and you’re responsible for business — despite the fact you’ve got a team working with you — you do need someone like Jamie to help you. To push back at you as well, to make you grow.

So, you helped me grow myself, Jamie, because it’s quite hard when you’re on your own and you’re feeding back to team. And you know, you helped me with that.
